The Company BMA Española, S.A. was founded in 1968. It was also the year when the production of flexible abrasives (sandpaper) began at the plant built in Castro Urdiales - Cantabria, a town situated in the north of Spain.

Moreover, it is at the aforementioned plant where an extensive range of flexible abrasives featuring paper, cloth and paper/cloth combination backing are manufactured and where work is constantly in progress to upgrade and develop new formulations and also improve production processes.

The processing facilities can be found inside the buildings next to the manufacturing plant where sheets, narrow & wide belts, discs and a broad range of formats are produced with state of the art machines designed to meet extremely demanding quality requirements.

The Company also has branches in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia and an Export Department for overseas sales management.
